The Mt Te Aroha TV Transmitter

Mike Alexander was a pioneer in the use of helicopters in aerial work in New Zealand, establishing Alexander Helicopters and becoming synonymous with the introduction of Hiller UH-12Es into New Zealand. Now retired, he is currently compiling a history of the operations of Alexander Helicopters. The Mount Te Aroha incident is but one of many episodes in his flying career.
