As the number of battery-powered consumer devices around the world grows at an exponential rate, transporting the lithium batteries that power them is becoming increasingly problematic for airlines. NZALPA’s technical director, Captain Stu Julian, and Ross Gillespie, an NZALPA technical officer, highlight the increasing dangers of carrying lithium batteries by air.
