IT'S A DIRECT throwback to the aviation scene of 80 years ago. Edwardians queued and paid to enter marquees where they were treated to the sight of flying machines, a rare spectacle in those far-off days before World War 1. So why are thousands of people paying to enter a massive marquee beside a busy intersection in Manukau City, on the southern outskirts of Auckland, in the first month of 1994?
