Anti-Submarine warfare was highlighted last month when the annual four-nation Fincastle Trophy cometition was held in New Zealand waters for the first time.

Anti-submarine flying is a "sensitive" military area and one normally closed to civilians. In this article, especially written for WINGS, the RNZAF;s public relations officer, Flt Lt Ross Ewing, tells of the Fincastle competition and what goes on when maritime aircraft set out to hunt submarines
